Summer time Lemonade

This is Kaitlyn. I had advertised that I was looking for a model to do this shoot idea I had. I was so excited....I thought that a retro style lemonade stand sounding like a lot of fun. Kaitlyn had responded saying that she was interested and after speaking with her through several messages, I really got to like her and knew she would do great at this shoot. I had the lemonade stand handmade by someone and it ended up taking quite a bit longer than I had expected. I had kept in touch with Kaitlyn through out the process but felt bad for having to keep postponing the session. Kaitlyn was such a doll and she completely understood. When we finally did get to do the session, I really enjoyed getting to meet Kaitlyn in person. She is such a warm-hearted person. I am so thankful to get to meet the people that I do.

Madison Session #1

I had the joy of meeting Madison and her mom at a fundraising event here on our Marine Corps base. Madisons mother sells jewelry and our tables were set up next to each other. It didn't take very long before I was chatting away with them both. They are both such sweet people. In the course of our conversations, Madison had mentioned that she loves photography, but that she also likes having her picture taken. We set up a couple of dates to do photos for Madison and she was such a natural in front of the camera. I really enjoyed getting to do photos with her. Not only is she a wonderful teenager, but she is genuinely a good person as well. We had lots of fun going around to several locations and doing different outfit changes. This was the first of our two scheduled session. Thank you again Madison for being such a great model.

Lillian- "Candy Shop" Part 1

This is part 1 of this session. Part 2 and my blog about this session are on the next post. Thank you.

Lillian- "Candy Shop" Part 2

This is "sweet" little Miss Lillian. Lilly's mother, Jennifer, had contacted me wanting to do a fun shoot for Lilly's 2 year old pictures. She really liked the idea of doing something with a vintage feel. After recently aquiring some new props, I had the perfect idea to do a vintage outdoor candy store shoot. Jennifer loved the idea and said it was a yes to do! Im so glad that we did this session with Lilly. She was so much fun to watch dig into all the candy! Plus she was so easy to photograph. Little brother Aiden was along as well, so we were able to get of him in too. These are two very wonderful little kids and I had a lot of fun working with them.

Weston

This cute little man is Weston. I was contacted by his mother, after she had done a modeling session for me, to take some updated pictures of him. He is such a cutie! His daddy is currently depoloyed to Afghanistan. We are all wishing for him to have a safe return.

Natasha-Maternity

This was my first maternity session that Ive gotten to do. I must say that I had so much fun with it. My couple was amazing to work with and I had such a good time photographing them. Natasha had done some modeling pictures for me in the past and I was very thrilled when she asked me to do her maternity photos. We did these during the later part of her 9th month and just right before I was done editing her photos to give to her, they were blessed with a healthy baby boy! Congrats to you both! What a joy an new life is!

Cake to Build A Dream On

I recently was able to work with Renee, owner of Cake to Build A Dream On. She is located here on the Marine Corps base in Hawaii. I was looking for someone to make cupcake for my "Hey There Cupcake" photo shoot and Renee so kindly offered to do so. In the process of everything I also did some business advertising photos of the cupcakes she had made for me. I really had a lot of fun photographing the cupcakes...plus they were super yummy! I can't post the link to her page on here but you can find her on Facebook under Cake to Build A Dream On.

A Gamblin Man

This is Mark, my first male model. I am very partial to this model, especially since he is my husband. When I came up with this photo idea, I knew he was perfect for it though. I wanted someone with a "poker face" and my husband is no stranger to that. I am so fortunate to have such a handsome husband but also that he lets me drag him in front of the camera once in awhile. I have at least one more session idea, Im hoping to use him for. Keep a look out for that in the future.

Hey There Cupcake

This is Michael. She was ever so kind to offer to model another photo shoot idea I had come up with and let me redecorate her kitchen for the shoot. :) As you will notice, Im getting more into doing shoots that have a retro/vintage feel to them. This type of photography is where my main interest is right now. I love doing these types of shoots. They allow me to be creative and I have so much fun doing them. I am trying to focus more on these types of shoots and build my portfolio in this area.

A Rockin Good Time at The Ice Cream Parlor

This is another model shoot idea that I had come up with. To critique myself on this one....the location we went to was not as lit as I had hoped. I hadn't been to the location prior due to it location in relationship to where I live. So upon arriving I was a little disappointed with the lighting. I did the best that I could though and had a fun time doing these pictures. Kaitlyn is my lovely female model in this shoot and then my husband every so kindly modeled as well. Thank you both.
